We talk to one of our technicians on a job he recently completed...

"The customer came in and complained that her side lights weren't working.

"After some basic checks, we found that the wiring to the light switched looked like this.

"For some reason someone had cut all the wires and tried to crimp them back together, however this wasn't sufficient and some of the connectors had not held the wires, leaving bare wires which could have caused a fire from within the dash.

"After finding these problems we proceeded to fix them.

"After cutting all the bad wiring out, a new connector and wiring were prepared and all the connections were soldered in and heat shrinked to ensure a good connection that wouldn't come loose and wouldn't let and moisture in."

The finished result? A much safer, neater looking switch and a very happy customer.
